Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Pizza is pretty good, but the meatballs are the best. Monday and Tuesday they do a special pie and wine deal for $20 or $25 really good deal for a date.

Excellent appetizer - hummus with warm pita bread. Good pizza - nothing excellent, but better than chain pizza locations. Outstanding and attentive service. Clean and modern facilities.

I really like Upper Crust if I'm in the Classen Curve area. There are probably other pizza joints I'd choose over this one around the city, but they have unique offerings of pizza, good selection of beer and drinks, and pretty good specials as far as pitchers and bottles of wine go if you're there on the right day. The atmosphere is great and you can usually get in and out pretty quickly. Also, the cookie pie dessert is to die for. It is almost (almost!) as good as a Pazookie from BJ's, which is pretty much my favorite dessert of all time. Also, if you have room for an appetizer or don't want pizza, get the wings. They're amazing. Not sure if this is still the case, but they used to be the unused wings from the roasted chickens from Charleston's, Red Rock, etc. They fall off the bone and are just so good.

At one time in my life all I did was go around looking for pizza places, i worked for a tradeshow company and traveled the country trying any pizza place that looked good. I would have to say I have had more pizza variety than most people. I've eaten pizza on the East and Coast West Coast even in Japan. I've been here many times just finally getting around to doing a review. I do feel this place scratch made pizzas are very tasty, I do like the pizza and I like the other items They have on the menu, it is clean very bright inside, good pizza joint.

This place is a hit and miss! Elizabeth was our waitress and she was rude and didn't do her job. She messed up our order and in the first place she slammed it down on the table when she gave it to us and she said nothing to us and she walked away. Eventually we got her to fix it and it took forever because she just stood at the host stand talking instead of going back to get our food which she never did the manager brought it to us and didn't apologize. Elizabeth finally came back and rudely asked if we needed anything else tonight and she slammed down a drink on the table. I will not be back and I said it before the waitstaff is rude and needs to be retrained.

A one star restaurant in pretty wrapper. From the start we had rude service from the bartender before dinner. Service was better at the table but the vibe of the staff was kind of snobby. Food was meh, not terrible but not great either. Salad was bad lettuce drenched in dressing with hardly any of the other toppings mentioned. Pizza wasn't bad but you sort of expect better quality in a restaurant but it was pretty much chain delivery quality. Calamari and wings were OK. Don't waste your time.

Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Decor & Style: 5/5 Ahh, Classen Curve. What a great job these designers and investors produced. Not only is the concept and area very nice and upscale, but the food is on par with the location. Pizza is probably one of the best pizzas i've tasted in Oklahoma City. Crispy, flavorful, and what seems like fresh toppings and bread. Price is great and comparable to Pizza Hut and Domino's! As of now it is my favorite pizza place in OKC, however there is apparently many other great places I haven't tried. The pizza king is still up for grabs! 5/5 all around, I haven't rated that high much!

First time here and there are screaming children galore! "Dontcha wish your girlfriend was hot like me..." Playing in the background. Not sure if this is "that family pizza kinda place..." Actually kind of reminds me of Chuck E Cheese's with the noise level during dinner time. Ordered meatballs for an appetizer. They were ok. Both the meat and the sauce needed a little something extra... So we decided to add some of the pepper and crushed red pepper mix to it and made it just about right. The pizza was great! We got the Numbers pizza. I'd recommend it. No room for dessert. Maybe next time.

"Italian Nachos" What? Ok, just wow! This Italian spin on the American/Mexican staple was just...wow! My attempt at deconstruction follows: The "chip" was spinach pasta, lightly fried crispy. Topped with a little Alfredo Sauce and some mozzarella, spicy Italian sausage, then a pico de gallo of tomato, red onion, red cherry pepper, peperoncino, capers. All topped off with fresh Parmesan. Best app ever!! This was an off the menu special so if you ever see it, jump!

On July 8, 2015, I visited the Upper Crust with a friend. I was looking for a nice restaurant with great pizza, and my fellow Yelpers did not disappoint! Upper Crust serves a gourmet artisan pizza that will shock you! I ordered a sausage/pepperoni special they had that also came topped with shaved banana peppers and peppercorn. The sauce was creamy and the crust was incredibly perfect! The appetizer was cheese bread which tasted great, although a little on the salty side. The restaurant served a craft beer which was called a black (something or other). I don't know what it was, but it was not quite as light as my young waitress suggested. The manager stopped by to check on our service and the waitress did many times, herself... Maybe a bit too many times. I felt she was rushing us. After my first piece of pizza (which I downed in about two minutes) she came by and asked me if I wanted dessert, and a box for the rest of the pizza??? I felt like she was trying to get us to leave although it was only 8 pm and they were open until 10 pm. In fact, as soon as the check came, she abandoned us. I hate being rushed to eat, especially when there is no one waiting for a table... When we left, half the restaurant was empty. Would I go back again? Yeah, most likely... I'm sure the waitress will eventually show signs of aging and slow down ;-)

The most I've ever paid for an inedible pizza. Tons of problems with this place. I ordered a pretty standard pie over the phone to go. Upon arrival, I had to go to the bar and deal with one of those stupid waiter wallets as if I was sitting down. Why isn't there a place I can stand at a counter? I had to wait about 5 minutes as the bartender ran back and forth. Eventually, I got my pizza. I was pretty psyched about the pizza being wood fired, as there are so few places that make it this way in OKC. Sadly, this pizza is worse than most pizzas that come out of convection ovens. The toppings were tasteless. The cheese was overwhelming, cheap tasting, and way too stringy. The sauce simply wasn't there. The bread was full of grease and butter taste. Overall, the whole thing was a greasy mess. After about 3-4 bites, I was done. Literally threw away my $15+ pizza and ate some apples when I got home. What a complete travesty this place is. I'd rather have a standard fast food pizza chain pizza.

We regularly dine here. The atmosphere is fun and relaxed. The service is consistently attentive but not overbearing. The wine and beer lists have many good choices and the cocktails are creative. The pizzas are well crafted. Our son loves the Tony's Italian with mozzarella, sausage, pepperoni, roasted garlic and sweet peppers. My husband and I are hooked on the Psycho Shroom. My only criticism about the pizza is the crust. To me, it looks and tastes like pre-made dough not freshly made and hand tossed. Tastes like dull white bread to my palette. If I could, I would give Upper Crust a 3 1/2 stars rating. Most things here are 4 star worthy but the crust and the occasional mediocre quality of their salad greens lowers their score in my book. That said I do enjoy dining here and I will return.

Let me say that overall, the food and experience were ok. Not fantastic, but ok. First of all, when you tell your customer "if you have any questions just ask" but walk away immediately without giving the customer ample time to respond or ask their question, why do you even ask? Our server knew this was our first time and I basically had to shout after her to ask my question. Regarding the food, we ordered a pepperoni pizza with mushrooms. The mushrooms were delicious; however, the pizza was wayyyyyy too greasy. The grease was literally dripping from each slice. We were still hungry and decided to order the "apple pie" for dessert. Neither the menu nor the server disclosed that it was not actually "apple pie", it was basically very lightly seasoned apple pizza. I would have much preferred actual pie, and probably wouldn't have ordered it knowing it was pizza. The apples tasted strange and there were hardly any cinnamon and spices to imitate the apple pie flavor. It also only had about 3 of the candied walnuts. I will say that the vanilla bean icecream was very good though. My husband ordered the Coop DNR beer on draft which was 9 DOLLARS! Upper Crust may be in a swanky area of town, but I am not used to spending almost $10 on a single glass of beer. Had the prices been listed on the menu we wouldn't have ordered it. Our issues may not have been earth shattering, but it was enough disappointment for us to consider never going back. If you don't mind overly greasy pizza, servers who are too busy to care about your questions, and a misleading and overpriced menu, this is definitely your place!

I'm somewhat a pizza connoisseur. I love pizza and eat it about once a week. This was my first time that I have been to U.C., and only heard good stuff about this place. It was unfortunate that we did not go for a day that they have a deal. For this trip we did not get a drink of the drink, beer, and wine menus. However, the selections in each of the different areas on the drink menu loon excellent and will be a must have one of the next times we go. This trip we tried the meatballs based on a Yelp recommendation and for me they were just ok. We also tried the Numbers pizza and it was one of the best pizzas that I have had in the OKC metro area. The restaurant atmosphere was a very busy and loud. The noise volume was a little overwhelming which I'm sure is from the very high ceilings. The time we went made it feel very much like a pizza sports bar. I will be back here again for the pizza and maybe some wine next time.
(4)Aley V.
Great specials! Got a pizza and bottle of wine for $25. Really like that we can go out during the week and not spend a lot. The salads here are always really good and my fav pizza is the Psycho Schroom, the BF always gets the Some Like it Hot and it's hot!
(4)Kendra M.
Upper crust has great pizza, but I crave their Upper Crust House salad and the calamari. They allow you to make changes or additions to your pizza order and have good specials. The atmosphere is great and laid back. Great to go watch games, have a beer, or bottle of wine. If you get a bottle and cannot finish it, they will seal it for you so you can take it home.

Stopped by to try this place; we have discovered a new favorite pizza place. Best pizza we have had. The pizza sauce is fantastic. It taste like my Italian grandmother's sauce which was the most fantastic treat of all times. Farmers Market salad was divine. Dressing is white balsamic- yumm. Big size feeds two. Saw a house salad, will try it next time. Want to watch a game---there are 10 TVs!! Evan is awesome server, very informative and pleasant. Loud but good music. We will be back!
(5)Kristi R.
Excellent service and food! Caesar salad, fried mozzarella, bricked chicken and meatballs are all worth ordering again and again!
(5)Bella L.
I really like their pizza here. This tends to be a lunch spot when we have our office lunch that consists of 6-10 people. The service is always good and we get in and out pretty quickly. My co-worker and I like to share the Tony's Italian and the farmer's market salad. I like that their pizza isn't just a bunch of dough.

Upper Crust is a place I love to visit and when I'm stuck on where to go they just pop up in my head. I really enjoy them on a Friday afternoon lunch with friends or even alone. Their starters are all pretty amazing but I can't seem to go to far away from the Calamari. It's probably the best I've had in OKC...hands down! They have a different special daily which is 2 slices of pizza and half a salad. When it comes to the salad you can't go wrong with the Farmer's Market Salad. I'm a sucker for a salad with fruit and candied/glazed nuts in it. When it comes to the pizza the options are endless. My favorite is the Flying Pig. The pig sauce is a special blend that involves ranch and that's alright in my book. On this particular trip I tried the BBQ Chicken, Y'all. I added pineapple to it and it was like a Hawaiian vacation in my mouth. I usually like a good pan crust but the thin and crispy crust they have makes me appreciate the fresh ingredients they serve. Finally, y'all know I can't enjoy a good meal without a good drink. They have a great wine selection that I have to try. That's only because I'm a Sangria kinda gal and it just feels right to enjoy a pitcher on the patio. So if you're in OKC and in need of a local pizza spot to try then you can't go wrong with Upper Crust...enjoy!
(5)Amy R.
Pizza was good. Service a little slow and server forgot some drinks...but he didn't charge us. So he might not have heard the order correctly. He was very polite....he might have been a little busy with a large group. Overall it was fine.

Best wings ive ever had!! Everything about my experience here was fove star. Quick food which usually means less quality but no amazing food and beautiful presentation. Big ups
(5)Julie S.
I'm something of a pizza monster. Like, if I could eat it every day, I so would. I have to talk myself out of just making my way through all the pizza joints on the daily. But you can be sure, when a friend suggests pizza, I'm down. Came here last week for a glass of wine with some peeps, and realized I'd never reviewed it. It's not my favorite pizza in town, but it is pretty good. I love their wine list, and they offer some different promos on different days: one is a bottle of wine and a pie for $25, and one is a pie and a pitcher for $20. Good deal for a group of friends to spend a little time together. I do take issue with one of their slogans. They like to refer to the feel "Napa Valley comfortable". Let's be clear, I've never been to a restaurant in Napa that had 14 flat screen TVs, including two in the restrooms. I assume when they say Napa Valley and Pizza, they're thinking of my favorite Pizzeria Tra Vigne. You can be Napa, or you can be a psuedo-sports bar, but you can't be both. Somewhere there's a pun in here: They tried to be Tra Vigne, T.V. for short, but instead they just installed a bunch of TVs? I'm still working on this one... Trust me, no one in the 405 longs for a Tra Vinge cousin more than me, but this ain't it babies. But, for a fun night out with friends, if you don't mind SportsCenter and such, it's a perfectly fine and fun place to go.

This is one of those 2 stars that may warrant another visit, but for now it is what it is. In hindsight, I find my mistake was likely in getting a salad at a pizza place. Unfortunately, I've read and heard good things about their salads and didn't feel too terribly much like eating pizza (was with my boyfriend and his family). Long stem artichoke salad (2/5): Given "artichoke" is within the name, that's what I was most looking forward to. I love artichokes! Which is why I'm sorry to report that the artichokes were the worst part of the salad. They were very bland and flavorless, completely taking away from the salad. The pistachios were a nice touch, but seemed a bit candied when a more roasted or just plain pistachio would have worked better with the contents of the salad. The "pita" bread that was below the greens and everything was fairly decent with a brushing of hummus (there wasn't enough of the hummus for me to judge whether it was good or not if there had been more). The mustard aioli was interesting, but it didn't quite match the salad itself, and it came off a little too strong and overpowering. The tomatoes were... tomatoes. I don't like raw tomatoes at all but I did eat a few to test the waters. They were firm and juicy, so I imagine those who do like tomatoes would approve. Lastly, at least the mixed spring greens were crisp and good. Buffalo "wings" (4/5) (2/5 spice): Are they very spicy? No, not really. So if spice is what you most love about buffalo wings (which I imagine it is for most), these will fall short. BUT they are very tasty and also come with a blue cheese for dipping that is fairly alright. Maui Waui (3/5): The night I went, this was their featured pie and my boyfriend's mother ordered it. I thought it was just alright, but I wasn't a fan even though it was made of ingredients I normally like. She really enjoyed it, though. (Red) Sangria (3/5): As far as sangria goes, it was pretty good. It's $15 for a small pitcher (not a beer pitcher) and makes about 3.5 decent glasses worth. Pretty good pricing for a tasty sangria. Despite the 2 stars, I do intend on going back at some point for a second go, just to be sure. I like Classen Curve too much to slam the hammer permanently if a second visit could cause improvement.

This restaurant has a really cool atmosphere and a great location. I went there with two friends to have drinks and desert (cookie pie is amazing!) and had the worst service I have had in a very long time. Our waitress was VERY rude by not checking on us after we had our food delivered without silverware, and dropping off our check before asking or before we were even half way done with drinks or desert! You can get just as good food and atmosphere around town without rude service.
(2)Taylor A.
Let me start by saying that I love Upper Crust. Love the food, the atmosphere, and the company. My boyfriend and I actually worked at the Upper Crust in Edmond over a year ago. We actually still serve tables now and came in about two weeks ago for lunch. Hostess was great, we were sat promptly, and was soon greeted by our server Corey. He told us the specials, inquired about drinks and apps and we ordered water before looking it over. After getting those we ordered two glasses of the same wine, bruschetta, and two sandwiches; after checking both of our IDs he left. The bruschetta came shortly followed by one glass of wine. When Corey quality checked our table, my boyfriend mentioned he never got a glass, which is an honest mistake. He apologized and went straight to the bar to get another then proceeded to complain to his bartender, saying we only got one glass, in very plain sight of me. If it wasn't for that, we would have tipped Corey well over 20%, but instead we only gave him 15%. I will definitely be traveling to Edmond next time I want the best pizza in town!
(2)Allie W.
I love the atmosphere, with the open kitchen and coffeehouse type music. The service is great, I am always seated promptly. I have only been during lunch hours, so I can't speak for dinner time. Their salad is absolutely amazing. And you can get half a pizza and salad during lunch hours. I recommend their margherita pizza.
(4)Katherine B.
OMG If I lived closer to Classen Curve I know I'd put on about 20 lbs, and this restaurant would be the main reason why. There's just something about wood fired pizza that is completely addicting, and I feel like I could inhale two slices of their pizza without even blinking. My favorite pizza so far was, sadly, a daily special called "Fancy Pie." But their market salad is a strong contender on any plate. Trust me. I know you came here for pizza, but get a side of this and you won't be sorry! The atmosphere is great, kinda upbeat urban while still feeling very relaxing and not pretentious. The waitstaff are fantastic too! All in all, this is now my favorite pizza place in OKC.
(5)Nicole S.
I was kind of disappointed with this place... for the price you pay, you're expecting an exceptional pizza... that's definitely not what you get. The dough in my opinion was bland... however the cheesy bread was alright. Their marinara sauce tasted slightly citrusy which I actually enjoyed. I just don't think the price is justified.
(3)Jere L.
Drinks were good, but I was not impressed with the pizza. The size was small, overpriced and it barely had any sauce on it. Felt like I was just eating dough with grease and toppings added to it. Although the atmosphere is nice.... just think they over do it a little. I wouldn't mind going back to try something else but I prefer The Wedge.
(3)David J.
I've been here several times and will return. Great place for a quick salad and pizza. The mushroom pizza with truffle oil is my favorite. The service is friendly and efficient.
(4)Courtney S.
I tried upper crust for the first time after watching a marathon of Bobby Flay Backyard BBQ on the food network...every single episode had him making a flat bread pizza of some kind, which absolutely had me craving a flatbread pizza of my own. I started with the market salad which was yummy and then tried the BBQ Chicken Y'all, which was great. The bbq sauce had just the right amount of sweetness to the sauce as well. We shared the chocolate chip cookie dessert...can I just say, YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS...it's probably 2000+ calories, but it's completely delicious -- warm, gooey, melt-in-your mouth deliciousness. Can't wait to go back and try another type of pizza...I'm sure they'll all be delicious!
(4)Meg W.
I'm not exactly sure why I had a stick up my ass the first time I ate here and thought it was mediocre because tonight I had a delicious and reasonably priced dinner at Upper Crust. I had a small Farmer's Market salad ($4) to start and I'm going to have to say, it might be my second favorite salad in OKC. My only complaint with it was that I thought it had a little bit too much dressing so next time I will definitely order the dressing on the side. My friend and I split the vegetarian pizza ($12) for our entree which consisted of mozzarella, artichokes, tomatoes, eggplant, goat cheese (I think?) and it was wonderful. Their crust is the epitome of perfection with just the right amount of crunch. And it is impossible to forget to mention their "crushed red pepper" which isn't simply crushed red pepper, but 22 different (unknown/secret apparently since they wouldn't tell me) spices that took the pizza over the edge into ummm....heavenly. Delicious. Exquisite. Aside from the amazing food, I was literally flabbergasted that their prices were so decent, considering they are located at Classen Curve. It almost seems like in order to have an establishment at CC, you have to be ripping people off...unless you're Upper Crust. Service could have been better, but the food made up for that. I can't wait to go back!
(5)Ashleigh B.
I've been to Upper Crust several times and I've always been pleased with the food and the service! I've always come with big groups and I've always been satisfied with our service. My favorite pizza the last time we went was the Chicken BBQ pizza. The only times I haven't cared for our choice was when we did the "make your own" pizza and we did a weird combo of toppings! So that was the inventor's fault ;) A big reason I like Upper Crust is because of the atmosphere. Its got a good mix of not too loud, not too quiet. There are TVs with sports playing, but its not the primary focus. I've yet to meet a Classen Curve restaurant I didn't love!
(4)Robin E.
So far one of the better pizzas in OKC! I'm still in search of that drippy New York Style pizza that you fold in half and pick up in your hands! Until then...I met several people here for a working lunch. The Like It Hot pizza was really good! It had a nice combination of spicy and sweet! I'm glad my friend suggested it! I never would have tried it otherwise! I also tried the Caprese salad in hopes that since it was summer it would have farm fresh tomatoes. Nope, Roma instead. Their take on it had 2 slices of tomato and 2 mozzarella under a little too much balsamic vinaigrette and Serrano ham. Not the summery tomato and basil combo I was anticipating but I'll know for next time. The staff was really great! We missed the lunch crowd and met for a long time. They were really very accommodating! Kudos to the staff!
(4)Jacob W.
I don't take giving a place 5 stars lightly. Take into account I also have not had every single thing on the menu. This place has the best pizza and service in OKC hands down. Everything is consistent time and time again. The kitchen tries new things and typically comes up with something fantastic (Little Bit 'o Goat appetizer). Hands down, best fried mozz I have ever had! If you like buffalo chicken pizza, get the Mikey's Pie (not on the menu but they still have it) and ask for blue cheese on the side (if you are into that) fantastic! The white pie + chicken +truffle oil is also amazing!
(5)Amnon F.
Very classy, great Pizza, awesome service. The portions are are the correct portions for those who watch what they eat.
(5)William C.
This restaurant is the total package. Great staff great atmosphere. Amazing food. My only complaint is that it seems that the majority of customers who go here seem to be snobby and pretentious.
(5)Travis B.
I do think they are a little overpriced, but their food is typically reliable and good. The pizzas are somewhat small for the price. They have a great wine/pizza combo that is wonderfully priced at $25. And if you don't finish the wine or the pizza - you can take it home. I have been twice where the pizza was incompletely cooked, likely due to the high volume of patrons and the change in focus from quality to quantity. Will continue to go back when I don't want a boxed pizza.
(3)Staretta W.
My husband & I have been wanting to try this place out forever, and we finally checked it out last weekend. The pizza was probably the best I've ever had. I could see how it would be a bit pricey if you were to order wine ($50+ for a bottle), but we both had draft beer, salads and a pizza and our tab was around $40 with a tip. The salads were good, not great - my husband complimented me by saying I make better at home (I think he had the Farmer's Market salad - I had the greek). I definitely need to try out more apps. And the dessert! Giving it 4 stars for the pizza alone. Definitely going to be my top pick for pizza in Edmond now!
(4)Cheri Y.
The unhygienic nasty hair in my salad isn't the only reason I wont be back to this establishment. It is primarily the smoke & mirrors "psycho shroom" deceptively created pies, cheap, nonexistent toppings that is a connotation of virtuosity in the attempt to fool the average consumer with its fantastic illusions! The uber expensive Classen Curve & it's self described "hip vibe" that is suppose to be modern, polished, & unique leaves little to be desired. Located in this newly built modern style strip mall across the street from the Whole Foods Market is anything but polished & unique, unless you like overpriced hipster flatbread with skinny toppings, salad with hair & comical trainee hipster cheese tossin servers! lol We ordered the farmers market salad, it was a fresh combination of butter lettuces, then recked by cold, hard, precrumbled Sysco blue cheese, not a soft, fresh crumbled blue cheese or even Roquefort, which would have been more on price point for the cost. On top, the nuts, which should have been raw, were candied, sweet with sugar in addition to the already super sweet white balsamic dressing that it was swimmin in. A double negative. Not balanced in its flavors & lacking in quality for the price. Beside all that, the giant nasty hair that was floating in the dressing sealed its doom. We ordered two small personal pizzas. Hubby ordered the "psycho shroom" as was told to us it was the best & most popular. I ordered a gluten free, with spicy sausage, caramelized onions, fennel & fontina. When the pizzas came the waiter came over to the table with the grater & two blocks of Parma cheese in his hand. He couldn't grate the cheese on top holding two blocks of cheese & a grater so first he tried to stick one of the blocks of cheese in his apron, but it wouldn't fit, then the pocket of his jeans! It wouldn't fit! Then, he sits the block of cheese down on the dirty table in front of us, then he quickly realizes his mistake, as I'm sure he saw both of us look on in disbelief! So he turns & looks both ways like he's crossing the street, doesn't see anyone else looking, gives the block of cheese a nice "Classy Classen Curve" ball toss in the corner of the restaurant floor behind us! He preceded to grate the other block, who knows where it had been, all over the two pizzas, all over the table, the floor, my jimmy choos, cashmere scarf & leather jacket that was laying on the booth seat beside me, cheese everywhere! Then he ran off! Is that what you call a "hip vibe"?! Needless to say, the "Psycho shroom" was a "psychotic fake mistake" as I know how expensive real truffles & real truffle oil is. It was a fake funky oily disaster! Real truffle oil (which contains actual truffle, and more truffle than oil instead of the other way around) is $90 an ounce. There is NO real truffle oil on this pizza. Only fake truffle infused oil. Truffle infused oil isn't made from truffles. It's made from an organic compound called 2,4-Dithiapentane--derived either naturally or from a petroleum base. Quoting celeb-chef Ken Oringer, owner of Clio, that serves some of the most beautiful New French food in the city of Boston, MA. "It's the only ingredient that I have never allowed in Clio. It all tastes synthetic, and the flavor is too artificial," says Chef Ken Oringer, talking, of course, about the culinary bane: truffle oil. To add to the blunders, the gluten free pizza was burnt around the edges, the center was a soaking wet mess. Both pizzas, Little to no toppings & center loaded. Parma cheese all over my shoes & clothes. And lastly, the salad with hair, (hair was free) the two small pizzas & three drinks was $100 bucks! We paid. We left. No Class Upper Crust. No classy Classen Curve, no classy at all.

Tried Upper Crust for the first time last night. Overall, I'm planning to visit here again, but a few flaws take away from this place's ability to be truly amazing. This is a beer and pizza place, which is worth visiting at least once. Pros: -Nice, modern decor -Excellent crust -We had the Farmer's Market Salad which was decent -Nice wine and beer list -Efficient Service Cons: -I understand that beer, pizza and sports are classic combinations, but the number of TV's in the place is just insane and totally distracts from the cool decor and is obnoxious. I'd be fine if there were a number of TVs in the bar area, but there is not a view or place that is TV free. Regardless of where you sit there are 4-5 TVs in your field of vision which is distracting and obnoxious. If I wanted this kind of experience I'd patronize buffalo wild wings or go to an actual sports bar. -The service was *too* efficient... i.e. our server did not explain anything or really seem to have time for us, which lead to one problem with the menu -We ordered the artichoke appetizer, which was described as "long stem artichokes served with mustard aioli," but came with a giant bizarre cracker smeared with humus and salad on top. Placed on the side as almost an afterthought were the artichokes. The chokes were delicious, but the freakish salad-hummus thing was not appetizing and essentially ruined the dish for us. As this is not described in the menu and as we also ordered a salad, the server should have mentioned that the app was essentially a salad and warned us. So disturbing was the item, we stopped a different server to ask about it and she said "oh, they lie, that is the artichoke app" and promptly disappeared. -We ordered the "psycho shroom" pizza. The pizza was too lightly sauced and the toppings were very "meh", but the crust was stellar. The pizza was so dry and the toppings were so "meh" that it ultimately took away from the pizza, so we ordered a side of pizza sauce which helped the pizza greatly. It's worth trying again though. -Finally, we ordered the dessert our super busy server recommended, a cookie with ice cream, which is essentially a pizzookie from BJs. But instead of being good, it was served raw on the inside and burned on the outside. It's bad enough that they copied BJ's on this one, but then to make it poorly is just not acceptable.

Service was poor from entrance to when we finally walked out. Waited 5 minutes for the host to get done talking to seat us in a half empty restaurant. The host and the server acted like we were a problem. We had to wait about 15 minutes to just order drinks. The server dropped off the drinks 5 minutes later and walked off without seeing if we were ready to order. We decided at that point to leave and not pay for someone to make us angry. Won't be back.

Once again HSRG hits a home run with UPPER CRUST! We eat here a lot and I have never been disappointed in the food or service. The Psycho Shroom is by far my most favorite pizza in OKC! Try it, if you like mushrooms, you will not hate me. And the Farmers Market salad.. try it with feta instead of blue cheese.. the blue cheese tends to overtake the flavor of this amazing salad! The salad dressing is light and super flavorful.. I'm begging for the recipe. Oh.. and if you dare to save room.. which most of the time I don't unless I am with a large group that will help me out with a dessert.. then I will order the Cookie Pie. You might hate me after introducing you to this.. It's that GOOD! Sometimes there is a wait.. so be prepared but it is definitely worth it!

The name "Upper Crust" does well to describe this restaurant. It's an upscale pizzeria, but is by no means uppity. There was the total range of guests in favorite worn in tshirts and jeans to snazzy Blazers and fancy slacks. My wife and I ate here and enjoyed it very much. The pizza choices are very unique, and for a very reasonable charge of only $2 you can make any pizza gluten free. However, the GF pizza was a little on the small side. Upper Crust also carries local Coop craft beer on tap. I recommend stopping here if you're in from out of town. You can get some good pizza and a taste of the local beer. Wear your favorite tshirt.

Upper Crust did not disappoint. Great location, food, and service. We went on a Sunday evening and were seated right away. The anti pizza appetizer is fantastic. I would have been happy to have that as my dinner. I don't always get an appetizer, but here, its worth it. We also ordered the 'some like it hot' pizza and a salad. Everything was delicious. The pizzas are great for sharing with a date, especially if you also get a salad to share. Perfect portions! I also had a really delicious glass of red wine, but sadly, I can't remember the name. The drink selection, in general, was pretty good. Upper Crust matches the vibe of Classen Curve. Modern, polished, and unique. This would be a great place for a date night. I definitely recommend this place and I will be back!

Great place with a nice atmosphere! The veggie pizza was delicious! All the pizzas are cooked in a brick oven which gives them that extra flavor! Would definitely go back!

I had visited a few times before and tried some of the pizzas. All were very good, but the best I have tried yet is the Some Like It Hot...very spicy and very flavorful. Service has always been good, but the pizza is what will keep me coming back (that and beer...anywhere that sells beer...). Today I went for lunch. We were kind of in a hurry, I told the waiter, and he made sure to have our orders taken timely, made sure our food came quickly, and took great care of us. But my biggest surprise was how good the sandwich was. I had the Gambino, and it was excellent! Capricola ham, turkey, red peppers, onion, and an olive tapenade. Just delightful! Before today I would have said that Upper Crust was a great place to go for pizza and beers. Today I firmly declare that this is a great place for a business lunch as well!

Updating to give this place a 4.5. Had The Wedge recently, and wanted to update that Upper Crust's pizza is now definitely better. Furthermore, their buffalo wings (believe it or not) are terrific. We have the Psycho Shroom, Mikey's Pie (buffalo), and BBQ chicken pizza on rotation. Sit at the bar for faster seating.

Can't believe they don't have mlb baseball available on their 10 plus TVs. Mamasitas has it and they're on the poor side if town.

Great food but Ozzie Osborn at dinner stop told the waitress the changed the music to Eric Clapton much better . if I go there again and there blaring music I will never go back

If this review were for the salad and dessert only? 5 stars, hands down. Pizza? 3 stars. I'm not very good at math, but I'm going to average that out to a squishy 4, which does not a 4 make... If I could do 3.5 I would. I love the patio here- the warming lamps and the bushes keep the temperature just right, and you can't beat the location when you're running around town. I think I have only sat inside once or twice but it is always freezing in there. The market salad is one of my favorites in the city, and our last waiter told us they sell more of those than anything else-- trust me, this salad alone is worth the trip. And I know I'm skipping the meal, but while we're on a high point let's stay there: The apple pie is delicious. They use their pizza crust, add some apples, cinnamon and ice cream so tasty that I wanted to ask for seconds! OK, I know I said I'd stay on the positive side, but the apple pie took almost 30 minutes to come out-- things that would've been nice for our server to let us know, and checking on us somewhere in there would've been appreciated as well. Here's where Upper Crust loses me: For a pizza place, I feel like their standard pies are lacking. Yes, I know that they have a daily special and yes, if I ate beef or pepperoni I would have a lot more options but at any rate, I am not impressed. One of my dining companions had something with sausage on it once and it was literally swimming in grease- major turnoff for me. The margherita pizza is the best standard pizza on the menu, but where's the meat? The best pizza I have had there was a build your own with pesto, chicken, mozzarella and a few veggies-- we were masters of our own destiny and we enjoyed every bite until we realized that our creativity set us back over $20 for a pizza. I think I have just been spoiled by the Wedge and my brother-in-law's amazing homemade pizzas where I can add whatever I want for free. You could definitely make worse choices in OKC, but overall, my pizza standards are another level up from Upper Crust.

Upper Crust is pretty much my favorite upscale pizza place in the city. I absolutely love the layout because it's so modern and chic, just like Classen Curve! I really like how you can see all of the wine bottles in their wine fridge. I have tried several of their pizzas, and I'm not picky, but there wasn't a single one I didn't like. They also have great deals like Sundays a pie and a pitcher for $20 and Mondays and Tuesdays pie and a bottle of wine for $25. They have excellent service as well and always accommodate you for whatever you need. This is a great place!

good pizza but you will need to apply for financial aid.1 beer and 1 pie(12") = 30 dollars I miss Sam and Eddies

We went to Upper Crust this evening and were very pleased. We ordered a Caesar Salad to start and the dressing was a tad too sweet for my taste but when the Classic Pie arrived, all was forgiven. Crust was absolutely perfect. Our server was very attentive, never seeming bothered that I was all but guzzling my iced tea! Also noticed that they played great music. We will definitely eat there again.

I tries this place on a date night with my husband and was not disappointed. We were immediately greeted and seated. They had quite a long wine list, and beautifully displayed wine cooler, that I wasn't able to try that evening. I'm sure would have complimented my meal. We started off with the calamari appetizer. I wasn't impressed by the appetizer. It just taste like another calamari appetizer, but I loved those peppers. Next I had a small farmers market salad--delicious. It was tossed perfectly. Every bite was lightly coated with the sweet dressing, paired well with the gorganzola, apples, and walnuts. We shared the "some like it hott" and added sopressatta dolce picante. The pizza was good. We added the second meat because of curiosity- it reminded my husband of lapchang (Chinese sausage) but with a little bit of a spice to it. The crust was on point, and the drizzle of balsamic really gave it something extra. My overall experience as good. The price seemed good for the quality of food and service.

A very nice setting that reminded me of northern California. Good selection of artisan pies.
(4)Matthew S.
Upper Crust is on time. Pies are always great, and the staff is generally very attentive and friendly. I definitely prefer it to neighboring pizza places (which is saying something, seeing as how The Wedge is right down the street). Upper Crust has managed to achieve the delicate balance between unique and weird, and it shows in their specialty pizzas. My personal favorite is the Some Like It Hot, which has a variety of spicy ingredients, contrasted nicely by balsamic vinegar drizzled throughout.

We expected much better based on the reviews and the nice decor of the restaurant. However, it did not live up to those expectations. I ordered an F5 IPA, it was delivered with about 3 inches of head on it. For a second, I thought I was back in Japan drinking Japanese beer-but this was a local IPA... no need for that much foam. The "Numbers" pizza was just whatever, kind of greasy, just not that special-especially for being the most expensive pizza on the menu. The "Psycho Shroom" Pizza was a bit bland as well. We tried the "Cookie Pie" dessert, think of it a "Fazooki" if you have been to BJs, the first one we ordered was doughy in the middle. We sent it back, and asked them to cook it longer, only to be delivered another one that was doughy in the middle. Service was good...

As a vegan, I would really like it if they had some additional options, but we made it work with a cheese-free veggie pizza. The best part of our visit was the half bottle of Estancia Meritage. We probably wouldn't have purchased a full bottle, so I was happy to see the smaller one.

Upper Crust has a very wide selection of good ingredients. Their pies are wood fired and have an American heft to them (as opposed to true thin crusts). I usually customize a pie but occasionally I order the Tony's Italian. The garlic cheese bread is incredible. Upper Crust really has some of the best wait staff. Very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Awesome bar. Sometimes the dinner wait is long so we typically go for lunch.

If you're in the area, and are craving a pizza, this place is absolutely worth the trip. I let my appetite get the best of me, and ordered an appetizer (artichokes), pizza, and dessert (chocolate chip cookie). Each was really, really good. It starts to fill up around 6:00 or so in the evening, but it's worth the wait. Note, that this is NOT true NY style pizza. Sorry, it's just not. However, it is very, very good.
(4)Cacky P.
The sandwiches are good but the pizza is pretty mediocre, which seems ironic since it is a pizza place. I liked the atmosphere though and the staff was friendly. I'd go there again for their "other" items.
(3)John M.
Awesome! Some of the best pizza and service in town.

I keep finding my way back to Upper Crust and their wood fired pizzas. I also keep telling myself that I'm going to try something other than the LK Veggie pizza... but I can't. It's just too good. Wood fired crust is perfect every time, never fails. Despite my inability to stray from the veggie pizza, fortunately I have had the pleasure of trying some of their various apps and salads, and all have been great. I particularly enjoy their calamari, it's cooked perfectly and the breading isn't overdone, perfectly crisped. My favorite part about the calamari is that they toss it with plenty of pickled peppers for some vinegar tang and spice, it's a nice touch. The anti-pizza plate is also delicious, a various assortment of cold cuts, cheeses, and pickled veggies. It might sound boring, but it is certainly far from. They "dress" everything perfectly: the fresh mozzarella is drizzled with a balsamic reduction, a soft goat cheese topped with candied pistachios, sharp bleu cheese pairs beautifully with the lightly oiled and vinegar'd greens in the center of the plate. It's great for sharing (or not). The salads have been fresh and crisp, you can't go wrong with the candied walnuts that come with their farmer's market salad or even the lemon-mint vinaigrette that they use for their Mediterranean salad. Like I said, it's all been fan-friggin-tastic, so I will definitely be back, and maybe, just maybe... I can convince myself to try something other than the veggie pizza next time (but don't hold your breath). Overall Grade: A

Best pizza and salad I have had in OKC. Waiter extremely nice and helpful. I went for lunch with my husband and 5 yr old son. I would go back in a heartbeat. The atmosphere was great even though we were with buisness lunch crowd. Highly recommend!

I like pizza, but I'm not pizza crazy. Upper Crust wasn't super high on my to-visit restaurant list, but I took someone who is pizza crazy, tonight, and we both left pretty impressed. Other than the table of creepers across the aisle and the TV blaring Fox News, I liked the decor quite a bit. Sort of a super-sized big-city pizza joint--a sprawling expanse of a restaurant that only a great state like ours can achieve because of all of our empty land. It's fun to sit in a restaurant that is unnecessarily gigantic and feel like a miniature person. If they had tiny pizzas, I would have ordered a couple of those to further confuse the illusion. We split the calamari (with pickled peppers! Nice touch!), a farmer's market salad (light, dressed well and super fresh ingredients) and a "Psycho Shroom". I could smell the truffle oil funk from several feet away. And it was good. A wide variety of mushrooms, crispy crust, fontina, grana, chives. I prefer a saucier pizza, and next time I'll order something pickled on top to sharpen the shroomy flavor, but it was great, and I'm sure I'll have it again soon. Service was quick and professional, Coop F5 was served with a grapefruit slice (thoughtful). Good game, Upper Crust.

Second visit, pizza is full of quality toppings although not fabulous, it was good pizza. Crust was a little wimpy o hold up to the grease. Calamari was cooked perfect and maranara was spicy and delicious! Get the sangria, u won't be sorry!
(4)Kerri M.
My husband and I had the calamari, the market salad, the numbers pizza and the cookie dessert. Calamari was really good, not chewy or rubbery at all. It had a little kick to it with all the peppers. They need to add some white sauce, to cool it down a bit. The salad was good, nothing special, but very light and good. We really enjoyed the flavors of the pizza. The crust was perfect. It was a little on the greasy side, but then again, it had a lot of meat on it. We got the cookie dessert to-go. Had a few bites when we got home and loved it. We went on a Thursday night, so it wasn't too busy and the service was good. Atmosphere was fun and busy, so it would be a great place to take our two crazy toddlers and my crazy in-laws. ;) We would highly recommend this restaurant. There is more on the menu than pizza, so I'm excited to go back and try something new!

Ate here for lunch with a friend a few months ago. It was busy but we were seated quickly. Our waitress was very nice. We ordered beers and split the Tony's Italian pizza - garlic, pepperoni, sausage, mozzerella and pepperocini. Sadly I found a hair on my slice. We informed our waitress who promplty had a new pizza made for us. The second pizza was great! I love wood fired pizzas. The manager came over and took the pizza off our bill. I worked in a restuarant before and I know hair happens so I wasnt upset about it especially since we got an entire new pizza. My friend and I ended up staying for quite a while and day-drinking on the patio since the weather was nice. I think we went through 3 servers total, all very nice and atttentive. I hear they have a deal on Mondays for a bottle of wine and a pizza for $25. Need to get there and try that out! Oh yes, this does not look like a pizza place the outside at all!
(5)Andria W.
Awesome! Great staff and friendly management. Great Monday and Tuesday night "bottle and pie" deal. Love the little wings and the spiced up calamari, Mediterranean salad, specialty pizzas, and ALWAYS get the cookie pie. Will return again and again! Side note- great wine prices and nice bathrooms!
(5)Addison G.
Awesome OKC spot. I think the best pizza in OKC. Usually one pizza can be split between a couple. The staff is always attentive and very polite. Check it out!
(5)Alex S.
Forget the pizza the salads are the best!! i eat there once a week just for their amazing salads
(5)Chelsea R.
Pizza and salads are great, don't have much to say abt the other entrees as we always love the pizza!

Judging by the 45 minute to an hour waits on Fri/Sat night, OKC is dying for more modern metropolitan restaurants. Upper Crust looks like a transplant pizza joint stolen from the pretentious upscale uptown of Dallas. You will see people of all ages and types here. Fri/Sat night seems to be dominated by the young professionals dressed in their pre-bar hopping gear. The atmosphere is fast paced and somewhat loud. This isn't the place to go to have a nice quiet conversation during peak times. It's a place to go when you are full of energy and want to laugh out loud without a person bothered enough to look your way. If you like a more relaxed atmosphere, visit this place on a weekday early evening. If you do go during peak times, prepare to wait for almost an hour. Luckily there is a large and lively bar, or plenty of comfortable seating in the waiting area (which will still fill up rather quickly). Don't let the upscale scare you away, casual attire is more than acceptable. As for the food, it is definitely great gourmet pizza. Very similar and on par with The Wedge. Often times, if the wait is too long at Upper Crust, we head down the street to The Wedge anyways. I still need a few more visits to determine if Upper Crust pizza is as good as The Wedge, but it is very close. What makes Upper Crust unique are the salads. Do try the Farmer's Market salad. It sounds boring, and the menu doesn't even say what's in it. But it is light and phenominal. It is a dark greens salad tossed with thin green apple slices, candied walnuts, and crumbled cheese with a perfect portion of white basalmic vinegarette dressing. Simple. Fresh. One of the best salads in the city. As for the other apps, I haven't tried anything worth writing home about. But hey, this place is all about the salads and pizza. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because of the long waits, and often hectic atmosphere during peak times. Restaurant management is doing everything they can do, no fault there. Great is 4 stars, phenominal is 5 stars. This place is great.

Ate here last Thursday. Husband had a business lunch. I wasn't keen on tagging along so I yelped my way over to this hip spot for a solo lunch. I'm so glad I did! A friendly, but not familiar hostess seated me promptly. The waitress showed up momentarily, explaining the lunch special: a quarter pie of the pizza of the day with a side salad. The pizza of the day was the Doggie Breath, which did not sound appealing at all, but I went with it anyway. When the pizza arrived and I took the first bite, I felt like I had arrived in tastebud heaven. I wasn't expecting such a burst of delectable flavor to explode in my mouth. It's really indescribable. It's something you have to experience. The Farmer's Market salad was just the right pairing, too. I felt like I hit a culinary jackpot. There's an awesome cupcake shop in the same center. I suggest you meet your favorite girls for lunch & have some cupcakes just down the sidewalk after. You'll thank me. Really!!
